Lining of the induction furnaces
Kopečný, Vendelín ; Pernica, Vítězslav (referee) ; Myška, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with lining of electric induction furnaces. The first part describes the preparation of lining, its function during the running of furnace and also its tearing down at the end of work process. In the thesis is also discussed the use of rammed crucibles. The materials used for lining and rammed crucibles are described also in the sense of their chemical properties in connection with the possibilities of their use under different conditions. The practical part of the thesis describes the process of lining the electric induction furnace, which was realized by the author under the supervision of the supervisor.
Design of the secondary city utility tunnel with an emphasis on protection against ingress of groundwater
Vrána, Tomáš ; Černý, Vít (referee) ; Horák, Vladislav (advisor)
In the first part, the master’s thesis deals with the history of utility tunnels, methods of construction processes and materials from which they are built. It also mentions methods and materials which protect against the effects of groundwater. The thesis is mainly dedicated to the design and structural design of the secondary utility tunnel lining with an emphasis on protection against ingress of groundwater. The mathematical model was created in Plaxis 2DAE software.
Study of the fire resistance of concrete for tunnel lining
Ondryášová, Veronika ; Bodnárová, Lenka (referee) ; Hubáček, Adam (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the study of fire resistance of tunnel lining concrete. The thesis summarizes the complexity of the existing knowledge of concrete fire resistance in tunnels and deals with the behavior of individual parts of concrete when exposed to high temperatures. Next, the improvement in fire resistance for concrete production and fire prevention improvement is described.
Calculation of resistance furnace with indirect heating
Bezecný, Ján ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Lázničková, Ilona (advisor)
The content of the submitted thesis is to determine a methodology for calculation resistance furnaces with indirect heating. In developing of the methodology, we used the theoretical knowledges of converting an electricity to heat and its sharing with an environment, and practical experiences in a construction of resistance furnaces and heating elements, with respecting of economical efficiency of production. We were applied these knowledges in designing of furnace for hardening the classic sodium-calcium glass, with a volume of the batch 2 dm3, that are in industrial practice used mainly in construction, as well as the commercial glass. These furnaces are used by small and medium companies, that are focused on custom pieces, respectively small batch production. Within the methodology, we determined appropriate type of furnace and furnace lining, by defined required size and temperature of the batch. From the values of the heat, required for heating-up the batch and cover the heat losses, we calculated the the required electric power, specific consumption energy and efficiency of electric furnace. At the end we designed the dimensions and layout of heating elements.
Reconstruction of sewer in Brno-City
Folovská, Kateřina ; Just, Tomáš (referee) ; Horák, Vladislav (advisor)
The master thesis deals with the reconstruction of the sewerage in Brno-city, between the streets Roosveltova and Solniční. Due to the location of sewer in build-up area, the reconstruction will be performed by tunnelling technology – shield excavation. The thesis is mainly dedicate with design and structual design of sewer lining. The mathematical model is created in software Plaxis 8.2 2D.
Optimisation of energy renovation of school buildings
Mocová, Pavla ; Kulhánek,, František (referee) ; Katunský,, Dušan (referee) ; Mohelníková, Jitka (advisor)
The dissertation thesis is focused on a methodology of optimal design energy renovation of school buildings. The thesis is focused on the analysis of selected school buildings during the last 100 years of construction in the first phase. At this phase, are found some important information, especially in terms of the energy performance of the building envelope and results of this parts. Last but not least, CO2 emissions were detected. In the next part of this work, one selected school is assessed in terms of the quality of the environment, due to the evaluation of microbial microclimate on building structures, CO2 concentration and daylight. CO2 concentration and classroom daylight is addressed both for the original and for the new state. Another point of this thesis is the appreciation of the size of the classrooms in the schools both in terms of typological principles and in terms of the average size of classrooms. The daylight assessment is performed on these selected sizes, which is a part of the "PaMo I" design tool. In the next phase of the dissertation was created the design tool "PaMo I". This tool solves the evaluation of the renovation of school buildings from the point of view of the thermal engineering in connection with the influence of the daylight illumination on the classrooms of the school buildings by the thickness of the insulation system and the replacement of the windows. Part of the design tool is also the financial quantification of the investment, the payback period and the impact on the environment of the individual variants. The choice of variant options has been used when making a design tool user decision. The result of this work is a design tool which will help in deciding and finding the optimal alternative to the energy renovation of a school building in connection with daylighting inside classrooms.
Static solution of swimming pool in new mountain hotel building
Krtička, Jakub ; Laníková, Ivana (referee) ; Zlámal, Martin (advisor)
The static solution at the new building mountain hotel The thesis deals with design and static calculation of pool tank, which is supported by columns and walls. Pool tank is designed as swimming pool with plan dimension 25 x 10 meters and with changing depth from 1,2 to 1,8 meters. The support of pool tank is in distance 5,02 x 5,05 meters. The adjacent ceiling is placed on the walls of tank and separates pool and technical areas. The calculations of inner forces were realized by computational programm for two models a) without decline of supports, and model b) with decline of supports. The design of reinforcement is performed for the bottom and walls of tank. The deformations modeling was made at the other part of the thesis. All results were evaluated and summarized at the conclusion. Drawing documentation was made subsequently.
Developments of Car Drive Train
Hebnar, Tomáš ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work is focused on clutches, which are an integral part of car drive train, it describes the distribution of clutches and gives examples of modern design.
Design of the tram tunnel lining
Pokorná, Katka ; Čenčík, Dalibor (referee) ; Horák, Vladislav (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is the design of an alternative variant of the tram tunnel lining on the Large Urban Ring Road in Brno Žabovřesky. The first part of the thesis describes the actually implemented solution. PLAXIS 2D software was used for the alternative design, thanks to which the necessary parameters were obtained. The alternative solution of the primary lining consists of fibre-reinforced shotcrete reinforced with two composite meshes. The proposed alternative was found to be economically more advantageous and, last but not least, less time consuming.
